I reviewed about 15 gas heaters before finally settling on this one. I am thrilled with it - it worked perfectly from day 1. It makes a slight buzzing noise when only 1 panel is alight but no noise when 2 or 3 are alight. I highly recommend this heater.

I use it on the one flame setting and it heats up my room well (medium size room) There's a gas smell when you turn it on (this is to be expected with all gas heaters) and the first flame you light is going to be bigger than usual. Those are things I didn't expect and no one told me about it. NB: You MUST buy a 9KG tank - I initially bought a 7GK tank because the add states "Up to 9KG", but the heater only works with a 9KG tank.

I used this heater for 2 weeks before reviewing, because I have returned 3 other makes this winter. The look and feel is immediately noticeable as superior quality. The controls are noticeably a better quality. The heater starts on 1st click , after one has allowed gas to run through for approx 5 seconds. I am extremely impressed with this product and recommend it most highly. It's a clear winner.

Really wanted to make the right choice and, after positive reviews, took the Salton and I'm very glad I did. It starts with no fuss and we are using a single panel for a large bedroom. I'd advise to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and you will have a good looking, practical and safe heater. Only the 9 kg gas bottle will do. It comes with the regulator, hose and fitting.

Heater worked well for the first week, then I couldn’t get the pilot light to stay on. Had to return it to takealot for replacement, now I am waiting for my new heater.

It's amazing and bigger than I anticipated. only uses a 9kg cylinder if that helps!

Aesthetically appealing. Gas bottle fits nicely in the unit and is not too exposed. Slightly noisy in operation. My older other model was much quieter - kind of a background drone sound. Easy to operate and ignite.

The heater is very good and warms up the whole house, was so scared of gas heaters but this one is so easy to you n very safe 😊😊😊

Simple to operate. Can be moved around a room without effort. Very effective in heating up a medium sized room. Good buy for the price.
